Repressive acts against Members of the Action Group and those who supported Appeals to the United Nations (May to December 1969)

Members of the Action Group:

  1. G. Altunyan, engineer from Kharkov, sentenced to three years in a labour camp under Article 190-1.
  2. V. Borisov, worker from Leningrad, arrested under Article 190-1, diagnosed as being of unsound mind.
  3. N. Gorbanevskaya, poetess, arrested, Article 190-1.
  4. M. Dzhemilev, worker from Tashkent, arrested, Article 190-1.
  5. V. Krasin, economist, exiled for five years for “parasitism”.
  6. Levitin-Krasnov, religious writer, arrested, Article 190-1.
  7. Yu. Maltsev, translator, underwent medical investigation in the Kashchenko Psychiatric Hospital.

Those supporting them:

0. Vorobyov, worker from Perm, underwent medical investigation in Moscow Psychiatric Hospital No. 15.

V. Gershuni, stone-mason, arrested under Article 190-1, diagnosed in the Serbsky Institute as being of unsound mind.

A. Kalinovsky, engineer from Kharkov, court decision to instigate separate criminal proceedings (see the trial of G. Altunyan).

D. Lifshits, engineer from Kharkov, court decision as above.
